Book Reviews

    Library Journal:

The catchy title of this book alone will make you want to pick it up, and you will not be disappointed. Written in an upbeat style by a longtime professional speaker on paycheck management, it promotes energy and motivation. The book is about ridding yourself of old hang-ups concerning money (you might find yourself nodding in agreement) and redirecting your focus about bills and debt. Appealing to a diverse audience, Keeffe offers several practical examples on how to achieve personal money goals: pay yourself first, pay the minimum on credit cards, and have an awareness of interest rates. The author contends that there will always be bills to pay so why not put some fun in your life now? This is accomplished by custom-designing savings programs that work. The central point throughout is that making choices gives you a feeling of empowerment. A welcome addition to public libraries.

                   - Mike Tribby — Joe Dominguez and Vicki Robin, authors of the international best seller “Your Money or Your Life.” “How can people do investment planning if they
          (1) have no cash,
          (2) spend everything they earn,
          (3) owe a substantial amount of money on credit/installment loan bills?

Without the background and perspective gained by attending Carol’s workshop or reading her book, most people have no choice but to wander through life from paycheck to paycheck.”
