Live so that when your children think of fairness, caring and integrity, they think of you.

- H. Jackson Brown, Jr. Cultivating Human Potential at your workplace through empowering
the core unit of our society: parents and their children. “I liked the reminders, e.g. back off, give yourself a moment to think about what my child (client or coworker) is feeling.”

“It has reminded me that all that I have learned about myself through counseling, self-help groups and support groups is valid in my work. Our issues come with us, whether we like it or not! What worked for me may work for/with others.”

“Empathizing – makes me think calmly and objectively – has helped me find better ways of relating/communicating.”

“This is the first workshop that I have been involved in that was offered from a “healthy, recovering” source. Talking about choices, putting myself first, cutting out anger, resentment, sacrifice and guilt not only from my emotional self but my financial self. Learning that I can enjoy money issues.... I could go on.” - Sandy C.

"I came out with a positive attitude. I enjoyed the content. You had a lot of great ideas and it made me think twice about some things and say 'Yes, I've felt that way too.' I thoroughly enjoyed it." - N. Singh

"Very practical, easy to understand. Teacher is and starts with where people are. Very positive."
- B. Harris

"Many useful ideas presented for day-to-day living. Instructor had very positive attitude -- you can do it if you want to! Your caring about each individual present -- learning names." - B. Hogan

"I am finally organized and can see hope where none existed. It's so good to be in control."
- R. Roloff

"It has given me a whole new outlook on everyday happenings. Carol Keeffe is such a happy, lovely person! Felt I learned so much. Wanted more."
- S. Taylor

“It is working. Giving my my children the responsibility and ability to monitor and improve their own behaviors. They are taking care of themselves and responding better to me. I would like even another class meeting. This has been great.” What is it? Hassles to Harmony™ is an empowerment program teaching essential life management skills to parents and their children.

Why parents? A parent/employee who is well-equipped to deal in a positive, mutually respectful way with a two-year-old temper tantrum as well as a volatile teenager grappling with drugs will translate this confidence and clarity to the workplace.
Who? Employee/parent, spouse/partner and their school-age children.
Where/When? The workshop is usually held at the workplace with the employee’s partner and school-age children. Each workshop in the series is comprised of two 90 minute sessions for the whole family and two 60 minute brown-bag-lunch sessions, for parent(s) only.
