Where Did the Day Go? ™

How to Manage Life
  Rather Than Life Managing You™

Using everyday work/life situations (phones ringing, lifelines, home/family, colds/flu, expectations of self/others, upset coworkiers, etc.) participants look at what could work better. Decision-making tools, awareness techniques and methods that put a helpful and often fun twist on accomplishing ordinary daily tasks with greater ease are explored.
Equipped with new skills and increased empowerment, employees are better able to choose their actions and responses. Situations that used to trigger re-actions (upset, overwhelm, stress, frustration, etc.) become opportunities to choose conscious, empowered responses. The result of this “whole life tune-up” is increased vitality, satisfaction, efficiency, productivity and overall well-being.
Practical and comprehensive, this highly interactive workshop is custom designed to develop life-management skills in such areas as time, money, interpersonal communication, organization, health/vitality, attitude and more. The result is increased personal empowerment in all areas of one’s life. Students:

    Learning self-management:

    Liking it.

    Experiencing greater achievement:

    Proud of it.

    Relating positively to each other:

    Enjoying it.

This is a highly interactive, personally enriching, roll-up-your-sleeves inservice class. Behavior management tools are presented for helping to create a positive climate for learning and relating. Techniques for building self-esteem in both the adults and students are explored.

In this class teachers and support staff experience a student interactive process that develops honesty, self-monitoring, ownership, communi-cation skills and more. A proven process that nurtures positive interactions, accountability, cooperation and teamwork in your students. Its impact has shown to carry over into the halls, the total school environment and beyond.

Do the Kids Behave?™ • This class was great – especially because I had just taken Love and Logic and this class gave hands-on applications on that premise.

• Reminders, e.g. back off, give yourself a moment to think about what my child (client or coworker!) is feeling.

• Very real, open, “unusual” approach. Teaching us to take a look at ourselves. Great class.

• Don’t assume. Preconceptions interfere with seeing the real picture.

• To take situations at face value rather than reading into them ahead of time.

• Deal with situations calmly and thoughtfully, always keeping the student and their well-being in mind.

• The variety of activities. Individual’s stories. Sharing.

• Catch them being good. Honest compliments. Chance to share with peers.

• Liked group activities & sharing experiences.

• Nothing is all good or all bad. Very interesting concept. It helps to get a different concept(s). Helps to listen to other people’s experiences.

• It helped me think about my own behaviors. I enjoy talking to others in the classroom. No matter what I shared, the teacher thanked me for sharing, of said “Good point!” or something positive. Do the Kids Behave?
